He has earned recognition as one of the top producers of exotic coffees in Colombia, and this farm is his crown jewel where he grows 15+ different varieties. Julio has only been cultivating the Caturra Chiroso variety for two years, and made the decision to plant this variety based on it’s genetic profile and the farms environmental conditions providing the optimal altitude, climate, and soil for its development. Currently Julio only processes the Chiroso variety using his a traditional washed method to honor the essence of the variety, “highlighting the sensory purity and expression of terroir”.
